How to install a Virtual Machine using an ISO images Hosted by HPC Host?

*Note, you must request access to the ISO Datastore from your ESX host if it is not currently available.

HPC Host is hosting a large range of ISO's for clients to install from.

You can access those ISO images by following these steps

Step 1

Open VMware Vsphere Client and select your virtual machine

Select Edit your Virtual Machine Settings

Note that the Virtual Machine is Powered down

 

Step 2

Click on CD/DVD Drive and select the Device Type : Datastore ISO file

Step 3

Click on Browse and select the Datastore DS3050Biso

 

Step 4

Browse the datastore until you found the ISO you are looking for.

I you do not find the ISO you need please contact support and HPC Host will upload it. *Note, requested uploads must be available ISOs we can both obtain and ensure that they have not been compromised.

 

Step 5

Select the ISO and hit OK.

 

Step 6

Check Connect at Power and Hit Ok to save the configuration and you can start installing your OS.

 

Step 7

 

Disconnect the ISO from your VM once you are finished. To disconnect the iso you will need to edit the VMs settings again and click on the CD/DVD Drive and select the bullet Client Device. Select OK to save the settings.

 

TIP:

If the boot process is too fast you can edit the virtual machine settings -> go to the Options TAB -> select the Boot Options under Advanced -> change the Power On Boot Delay to 10000
