To apply MSDE service pack 4 to your Windows virtual dedicated or dedicated server

1. Log in to your Windows server using Remote Desktop Connection.
2. Download the service pack at MSDN and save to directory C:\SQL2KSP4msde.
3. From the Start menu, click Run....
4. Type cmd and press Enter.
5. Type setup.exe /upgradesp sqlrun and press Enter.
